Holistic - The new old

PetPoint Medical Center and Resort

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine has been successfully applied for thousands of years, and PetPoint blends acupuncture and Chinese herbal remedies with conventional Western medicine.

Also known as Eastern Medicine, Integrative Care focuses on incorporating natural healing methods and engaging the body’s own healing abilities to work toward better health. The pet’s environment, nutrition, stress factors, and disease pattern are part of the overall assessment.

At PetPoint our Integrative Care Practitioners are trained in acupuncture, acupressure, herbal medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, and nutrition.

Prevention of diseases should be the focus in the patients’ early years, thus necessitating little intervention until older age. In many situations, the veterinarian will primarily choose from conventional (Western) medical procedures, technologies, and products (surgery, diagnostics and drug therapy) and combine these with integrative care techniques to create an optimal synergistic illness prevention or treatment plan. This approach mandates a comprehensive understanding of all the healing modalities and their suitability to the patient and the illness.
